The time has finally come: the new Comfortina 46 floats in Schleswig's city harbour. The ship has already travelled a long way overland. It was built in Poland by the renowned yacht builders from Algro Yachting in Gdansk. The new Comfortina 46 is now being fitted out on site and polished to a high gloss. Then, from Friday 10 March to Sunday 12 March, the new flagship will be officially presented to the public at Comfort Yachts' in-house exhibition.
For the construction of the Comfortina 46, the shipyard sought co-operation with Dieter Blank ( Blank Yacht Design ). The ship will be the first in the fleet not designed by Thomas Bern. Like all Comfortinas, the new 46 will also be highly customisable. "As usual, we will work closely with our customers during the planning and construction phases and endeavour to cater to all wishes and requirements," says shipyard manager Niels Töbke. For example, the buyer can choose between different draught variants or an electro-hydraulic lifting keel, and one or two rudder blades are also possible. The hull and deck of the Comfortina 46 are built as glass fibre-reinforced sandwich constructions using a vacuum process and epoxy resins. The floor stringers and longitudinal stringers are additionally reinforced with carbon fibre fabrics.
The customer also largely has the say in the interior design, within the bounds of feasibility. The shipyard has given the owner's area in the foredeck a particularly large amount of space. A central island bed or a double berth at the side can be fitted at the front. There is also a separate bathroom for the owners with a separate shower area. The aft section can be fitted with either one or two double cabins. The saloon is also available with a U-shaped galley at the rear or with a larger, partitioned galley area at the front of the main bulkhead.
Comfort Yachts waited a long time to announce the prices. Now it's official: the basic version of the Comfortina 46 will cost 624,750 euros ex shipyard. The price includes 19 per cent VAT, but does not include the sails.
The new flagship will celebrate its world premiere at the Comfort Yachts in-house exhibition in Schleswig. In addition to this main attraction, all the other boats in the current Comfortina range, the Comfortina 35, 39 and 42 models, will also be on display. The in-house exhibition will be open on Friday, 10 March from 13:00 to 17:00 and on the weekend of Saturday and Sunday 11/12 March from 11:00 to 17:00.
